Horses

There are numerous horse-themed events held in Sanlúcar de Barrameda throughout the year, from the famous horse races on the beach in August to the Rocio pilgrimage that many undertake on horseback in May and June.

As well as being the feature of fiestas and cultural events, horses are also the ideal form of transport to discover the town's surroundings, making it easy to explore the many areas of Doñana National Park where motor vehicles are prohibited.

Various companies offer horse-riding lessons and trips, as well as rides in horse-drawn carriages. The Hotel Barrameda can organize individual or group classes and excursions.
